RACE IS CANCELED
Dear Runners,

It is with great disappointment that I must inform you of the Cancellation of the 2010 Dilworth Jubilee 8K and 1 Mile Fun Run.  Our registration numbers have not reached the critical mass that was needed for us to be able to present the race this year. However, the Dilworth Jubilee Festival itself is NOT being canceled and will be held as scheduled beginning at 10am on October 16th.

The idea to revive the race came to light in just the last couple of months.  It was our hope that even with the short notice, we'd still be able to generate enough interest based off the historical nature of the event, cooler temperatures, and the Dilworth Jubilee Festival itself.  Unfortunately, due to the lack of participant interest and an increase in some of the race expenses, we will not be able to present the race this year.

That said, it is our intention, both the Charlotte Running Co. and the Dilworth Community Development Association, to revive this race and with more timely planning and notice, be able to present the Dilworth Jubilee 8K and Fun Run in 2011.

If you registered online, you will be sent a reimbursement check in the mail.  If you mailed in your registration, your check will be returned to you.  If you would like to remain registered for the event in 2011, please send an email to info@charlotterunning.com and we will transfer your registration to next year's event.  Please do so by 10/13/2010.  Reimbursement checks will be sent out on 10/14/2010.

We are both sorry and disappointed that the event is not going to take place this year, and we appreciate your understanding.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email me at info@charlotterunning.com

Thank you,

Scott Dvorak
